Twilio Integrations With Kylas CRM: A Step-by-Step Guide

Overview

Twilio Message app enables user to send sms as well as whatsapp messages to Lead or Contact .

How will It work?

Installation:

Click on ‘Install app’ button
Click ‘Allow and Install’ to give the permissions and install
After installation sign up on the application with your email id
Verify the email id and sign in on the app.
Navigate to the ‘Installed apps’ section of Kylas marketplace and click on ‘View details’
Enter the Kylas API key in the API key section and click ‘Save’

Connecting Twilio account:

Login to the Twilio Messaging application and navigate to the connected account section
Click on ‘Add connected account’
Enter the required details to connect the account
Choose the ‘Active/Enabled’ checkbox
Click ‘Save’

Adding WhatsApp message templates:

Navigate to Templates section of the Twilio business messaging application
Click on Whatsapp Tab
Click ‘Add WhatsApp Template’
Enter the Name, Content and other details required to create a template
Check the ‘Active/Enabled’ checkbox and click ‘Save’

Adding SMS message templates:

Navigate to Templates section of the Twilio business messaging application
Click on SMS Tab
Click ‘Add SMS Template’
Enter the Name, Content and other details required to create a template
Check the ‘Active/Enabled’ checkbox and click ‘Save’
*SMS or Whatsapp template can be added according to requirement. It is not mandatory to add both templates.

Send WhatsApp message from Kylas sales

Login to the Kylas sales application
Navigate to a Lead, Contact or Deal details page whom you would like to send WhatsApp message
Navigate to the Message section
Click on ‘New Message’
Click on ‘Send WhatsApp Message’ action
Choose the phone number and template
Click on ‘Send’ button
The message is sent to the receiver, and it’s displayed on the Messages section of the Details page of the Lead, Contact, or Deal.

Send SMS message from Kylas sales

Login to the Kylas sales application
Navigate to a Lead, Contact or Deal details page whom you would like to send WhatsApp message
Navigate to the Message section
Click on ‘New Message’
Click on ‘Send SMS Message’ action
Choose the phone number and template
Click on ‘Send’ button

Adding Users:

Navigate to the Manage Users section of Twilio messaging application
Click ‘Add User’
Select Kylas User, Enter the Name, Email id and choose a role of the user
Click ‘Save’
After adding the user in Twilio messaging application the users will receive a verification link on their email address, they can verify the email and login to the application
The users added as Admins will be able to view all sections of the Twilio messaging application such as Templates, Logs, Account settings, API key and Manage users
The users added as Members will be able to view the Templates and Logs

View Message Logs:

Navigate to the Message logs section in the Twilio messaging application.
You will be able to see the two tabs- SMS and WhatsApp, and their logs of messages that have been sent via the application.
You will be able to view the failed messages logs as well along with the reason for failure
