Kylas LinkedIn Extension – Privacy Policy

This Chrome extension is developed by Kylas to assist users in identifying and saving LinkedIn contact details to their Kylas CRM account. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how your information is handled.

What Data We Collect

When you click the LinkedIn “Contact Info” button, the extension reads publicly visible contact information (e.g., email, phone) shown in the LinkedIn popup.
This information is used solely to search for existing leads in your Kylas account and optionally save them if none is found.

Data Storage and Usage

The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any sensitive LinkedIn information such as your username, password, or access token.
Your Kylas JWT token is temporarily stored in the browser’s localStorage to maintain your session. This is cleared when you log out.
All interactions are between your browser and the Kylas CRM API. No data is shared with third parties.

Permissions

The extension accesses only:
The LinkedIn Contact Info popup (on user action).
Kylas CRM endpoints using the authenticated user’s credentials.

No Ads or Analytics

This extension does not include any third-party analytics, tracking scripts, or advertisements.

User Control

Users must actively log in to their Kylas account to use the extension.
Data is only accessed after user interaction (e.g., clicking on Contact Info).
Users can log out at any time, which clears all locally stored data.
