Razorpay Integrations With Kylas CRM: A Step-by-Step Guide

Overview

Razorpay is a leading payment gateway that helps businesses power their finances. Kylas users can connect their Razorpay account and generate payment links from within the CRM itself. Users can also send the links via SMS and Email to all Leads or Contacts stored in the system. Through Razorpay integration, you can even set up certain actions that need to be performed once a payment has successfully been done through a link.

How will It work?

Steps to install:

Click on ‘Install’ button on the marketplace app listing page
Login to your Kylas account on the next page
Click ‘Allow and Install’ on the next page
Once installed, sign up on the Razorpay – Payment link generation application with any email id.
verify your email id and sign in

Setup Razorpay account:

Navigate to ‘Installed Apps’ section under Kylas Marketplace
Click on ‘View Details’ button in front of the Razorpay – Payment link generation’ application
Navigate to the ‘API Keys’ section
Enter the Kylas API key that can be found here
Click on ‘Save’
Navigate to ‘Connected Accounts’ section in installed apps
Click ‘Add Connected Account’ button
Choose vendor as Razorpay
Enter ‘Key id’ and ‘Key Secret’ that can be found
Click ‘Active/Enabled’ checkbox and save the details

Add after-payment activities:

Navigate to ‘connected Accounts’ section of the application
Click on ‘After payment actions’
Click on ‘Add Payment Actions’ button
Choose the ‘Event’ and Action to be performed. e.g. Update Deal pipeline stage
You can add multiple such actions and the app will check which pipeline is attached to the Deal and update the stage accordingly

Setup webhook in Razorpay:

After successfully connecting your account
Navigate to the ‘Connected Account’ menu
You will see a Webhook URL
Copy the URL and paste it on the Razorpay webhook section with following events selected (How to setup webhooks in Razorpay?)
1. payment_link _paid
Once you setup the webhook in Razorpay with the selected event. Razorpay will start sending events and the Payment link generation app will be able to perform the after-payment actions that you have selected in the earlier steps

Add users in the application:

Navigate to ‘Manage Users’ inside the Razorpay – Payment link generation app
Click on ‘Add User’
Enter the Name and Email of the user
Choose the Role from Member or Admin
Choose the corresponding Kylas user from the list of Users available in your Kylas account
Click on Save
The users added in the app will receive an email for their account verification, after verification the users can install the app and login from their credentials.
The users added with the role as ‘Admin’ will be able to view all tabs in the Razorpay – payment link generation application
The users added with the role as ‘Member’ will only be able to view the Payment link logs generated by them.

Generate payment link:

Once you have installed and setup the Razorpay – Payment link generation application
Navigate to the Kylas Sales – Lead or Deal details page
Click on the ‘More actions’ button available on the R.H.S. of ‘Edit’ icon
Click on ‘Generate Payment Link’ action
Fill the required details in the modal
Click on ‘Create Payment Link’ CTA
The Razorpay payment link will be generated, and a note is created on the selected entity with the link, id, amount and time the link is created
You can also view the link by clicking on ‘View payment links’
You can also ‘Resend’ or ‘Cancel’ the already generated payment link
Once a user pays the amount through the payment links, a note is created on the entity with a success message also the selected after payment actions are performed automatically by the application
